Nepal - making sense of the recent protests

The streets of Nepal have been filled over the last few weeks with people protesting at the rule of authoritarian King Gyanendra. The protests have resulted in the King reinstating a democratic parliament in the face of calls for an end to the monarchy.

Anuj Mishra, a Warwick student from Nepal, gives an insight into the pro-democracy movement and the history of the protests.
