86% of students at The University of Warwick would recommend their University to future students, according to results published in the 2024 National Student Survey

Results from this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) have been published by the Office for Students. The results found that 86% of Students at The University of Warwick said they would recommend their University to future students – a 3.6% increase from 2023. The University of Warwick ranks in the top five in the Russell Group across all question themes.

Students at The University of Warwick were more positive than the student sector average across six of the seven question groupings (Teaching on my Course, Learning Opportunities, Academic Support, Organisation and Management, Learning Resources and Student Voice).

Students rated the Learning Resources they have access to at The University of Warwick 91%, the Academic Support they’ve received 89%, and the Teaching on their course 88%. Students also ranked The University of Warwick second in the Russell Group for Student Voice (78%).

The National Student Survey seeks the views of final-year undergraduate students across the UK every year. The survey enables higher education providers to continuously evaluate, improve and benchmark the courses they offer, and it helps to inform decisions made by prospective students about where to study.

Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor and President of The University of Warwick said:

“Our latest result in the National Student Survey demonstrates the dedication of our colleagues who are committed to ensuring the best possible student experience.

“Co-creating an outstanding educational experience together with our staff and students is one of our strategic priorities. We are committed to building on feedback and further evolving the student experience here at Warwick.”

One of the largest of its kind in the world, the National Student Survey received almost 346,000 responses across the UK this year. This year’s results show a 72.3% overall response rate from students across UK institutions on their experiences of higher education. Students from The University of Warwick who were eligible to participate accounted for 4,177 of those responses, a 74% response rate. This was an increase of nearly 12% compared to 2022.

The National Student Survey results follow The University of Warwick ranking in the top 25 universities in Europe by the QS World Rankings: Europe, and earlier this year, Warwick was named one of the top 10 universities in the UK by the Complete University Guide.
