  • Stuart TaitNew WMG Academy for Young Engineers Building Open Day
  • Free guided tours to the public
  • Taking place Saturday 18 June 2016 in Solihull

The WMG Academy for Young Engineers, Solihull, are opening up their brand new building to the public on Saturday 18 June 2016.

Whilst still very much a live building site, visitors will be given a guided tour of the building that will deliver unique benefits to students preparing to begin their future careers.

The tours offer visitors an opportunity to gain a unique insight into how the academy will help students gain experience with real value and how students will be equipped with a professional ethos and culture that is in high demand in today’s working world.

The innovative new learning environment has been designed to engage students and generate an excitement for the engineering opportunities that will shape the creation of the high-value products of tomorrow. There is a large workshop area as well as multi-use classrooms, designed to deliver a broad and balanced traditional GCSE and A level curriculum enhanced by vocational and technical qualifications in Engineering.

Principal of the WMG Academy for Young Engineers in Solihull, Stewart Tait said: “We look forward to showing visitors the plans for our new academy. It’s a great opportunity for prospective students and the local community to find out more about how we train the engineers of tomorrow.”
