Free Public Lecture by Chris Woodhead at University of Warwick Proves so Popular

Originally Published 11 April 2001
A free public lecture by Chris Woodhead, the former OFSTED Chief Inspector, at 5.30pm on Wednesday 2nd May has proved so popular that it has been moved from the 250 seater University Arts Centre Conference Room to the 400 plus seater lecture theatre in the the University's Ramphal building.

Mr Woodhead's lecture title is Improving Standards Through Inspection, the date of the lecture would originally of course have been the day before the general election - not that Chris Woodhead would need a special date to enhance his renowned plain speaking on education issues.

As the lecture will now take place in a larger venue there are now a limited number of additional seats available. Should anyone wish to obtain a ticket call or write to the University's Public Affairs Office tel 024 76 524668, fax 024 76 528194. The University will of course be shut over the Easter period but you will be able to leave any ticket requests on voice mail or the fax.
