The Goldman Sachs Foundation has donated £235,900 to the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth as part of their “Developing High-Potential Youth” initiative.
The money will be channelled in to providing scholarships for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend the Academy.
This is the first sponsorship agreement at the Academy, but others are in the pipeline and are due to be announced soon.
The Academy has a student recruitment target of 5000 members to be reached by the end of this year. If you work with schools or the community and are interested in helping the recruitment effort see the guidance pages on the NAGTY website.
Following on from the success of last year’s Summer School, NAGTY are also recruiting residential and teaching staff for this year’s programme. Students, or graduates, interested in applying to join the Residential Staff team should check out the jobs pages for further information.
Academic Staff who would be interested in teaching at the Summer School should contact Ken Sloan, K.Sloan@warwick.ac.uk, the Site Director.
