Connect Midlands Help Warwick University Spin-Out Company Gain Investment

Originally Published 29 May 2003

Connect Midlands have helped Dig-ePrint Ltd, a University of Warwick spin-off company, to successfully secure funding from Catapult Venture Mangers, for their creation of a digital imaging invention. The Catapult investment is the result of presenting at a Connect Midlands Springboard event, which was held in October 2002. Connect Springboard gave Dig-ePrint the opportunity to showcase their business to the investment community. Connect Springboard is a one day informal platform, allowing early-stage companies to present their innovations and showcase their ideas, concepts and proposals. After October's event, Dig-ePrint attracted interest from Catapult Venture Mangers, managers of the East Midlands Regional Venture Capital Fund.

"It was only after Connect gave us the opportunity to present at Connect Springboard that we were approached by investors with interest in our business. I am happy to say that as a result of the conference we have now secured the funding we were seeking, which will enable us to make our product a success". Mr Trevor Elworthy, Managing Director, Dig-ePrint.
