Triple Success for Warwick Conferences

Warwick Conferences, the conference business arm of the University of Warwick, has just won three awards at the UK conference industry's prestigious Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Awards 2009.

At a ceremony held on Monday 23rd February at the Novotel London West, Warwick Conferences were presented with 3 awards:

•     Best Academic Venue  – Gold

•     Best UK Management Training Centre  (Scarman House ) – Silver

•     Best Value for Money Conference Venue (Scarman House) – Silver

Warwick Conferences is the largest commercial business of The University of Warwick. It is highly successful with an annual turnover of £22 million. Last year it hosted  4,000 events for over 200,000 delegates. All of its surplus income is reinvested into the University of Warwick's world class teaching and research.

The M&IT Awards bring together the various sectors of the business to measure market reaction in rewarding excellence of service and product.  The winners are voted for by the public who use conference facilities and show a true reflection of the service provided by the winning and short-listed venues. The M&IT awards evening also raised significant funds for Save the Children.
