Unitemps welcomes 17th university to its network

spokespeopleUnitemps, part of Warwick Employment Group , has extended its network to include Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU).

This will be the 17th university to join the franchise network which offers a temporary recruitment service for students, graduates and the wider community.

The new branch at LJMU will launch in the 2019/20 academic year and will provide a range of work opportunities to LJMU students and those within the local Liverpool City region. Jobs will be available across the LJMU campus, and also within local businesses.

Paul Brewster, Director of Warwick Employment Group, commented: “The team and I are delighted to welcome LJMU to our Unitemps network. Liverpool is a key student city in the UK and therefore provides the perfect setting for a Unitemps branch. We have been working closely with LJMU for a while now, and it is great to be able to move forward with this exciting project.”

Mark Power, LJMU’s Interim-Vice Chancellor, (pictured above with Lorna Bytheway, Franchise Relationship Manager, Unitemps Warwick) added: “We are passionate about providing opportunities for our students to access paid work that strengthens their CV, their employability skills, commercial awareness and the stories they can tell employers in interviews. At the same time, we are simplifying routes to accessing degree-level talent for Liverpool City Region businesses.

"Our goal in supporting our students is matched by our commitment to connecting local businesses to students for part-term and seasonal roles and, in time, to skilled graduates as businesses seek to grow and make the most of their workforce.”

Unitemps was started by the University of Warwick in 1997 with the initial aim of helping students find jobs that fit around their university life. The Unitemps network now extends across the UK with branches in Birmingham, Canterbury, Coventry, Surrey, Leicester, London, London City, Northampton, Nottingham, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, and Middlesex, and also features branches in Australia in Brisbane and Gold Coast, offering temporary recruitment services for students, graduates and the wider community.
