The University of Warwick and the University of Toronto fund new collaborative research
The University of Warwick and the University of Toronto (U of T) announce new seed funding to advance new and existing collaborations between researchers, professional staff and students.
In 2023 the two universities formalised their partnership which developed through high-profile research collaborations. This commitment deepens connections between their academic communities and advances new opportunities for research, knowledge exchange, and innovation.
The U of T-Warwick Seed Fund will foster innovative research which has the potential to create academic and societal impact. This new fund brings together the complementary strengths of the University of Toronto and the University of Warwick, to facilitate research and education initiatives, by enabling academic colleagues to jointly undertake preliminary research or pilot projects, and organise meetings, workshops and events.
Professor Michael Scott, Pro Vice Chancellor International said, “This partnership, between two of the world’s top research-intensive universities, is an exciting catalyst for discovery, innovation and progress. Warwick’s international identity is deeply ingrained in our DNA. We see the world as a place that can be transformed for the better by learning and working collaboratively with our strategic partners across the globe.”
The Toronto-Warwick Seed Fund is now open to new applications as part of the One World Warwick celebrations, showcasing our strategic global partnerships and international opportunities for students. To find out more and apply to this fund visit the website.
