The ETAMBA Project, lead by WMS, is training Non-Physician Clinicians in Malawi and Tanzania
The Challenge: In 2010 the Malawian maternal mortality ratio was 460 women dying per 100,000 live births. In the UK, by comparison, the mortality rate is 12 per 100,000 live births. The infant mortality rate in Malawi at 58/1000 live births is ten times that in the UK.
The Aim: The ETATMBA Project aims to deliver sustainable training and best practice, in order to improve maternal and perinatal survival In Sub-Saharan Africa.
