Words for Wellbeing

We want to hear from you!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day. Whether you were here for the day session, or the evening session, or managed to stick around for both, we'd love to hear from you. Your feedback will help us shape events like these in the future. Your time is much appreciated.

If you couldn't make it to our pilot programme in 2024, but are interested in being kept in the loop about future iterations, watch this space! Its only going to get bigger (and bolder!)

WHAT IS IT?

On June 27th from 10.30 am - 3.00 pm, the Atrium of the Faculty of Arts building will host the 'Words for Wellbeing Pop-Up Day'.

Our event offers a drop-in style experience for staff, students, wider community members, and invited guests. There is truly something for everyone! You can engage with our Collective Creative Charter, surprise yourself with Blackout Poetry, get reflective with Test tube Telegrams, immerse yourself in the wonderfully crafted mindfulness sessions led by Dean Howes from Centre for Lifelong Learning (CCL), and come and have a chat with our Menopause & Nutrition facilitators.

WHY NOW?

In today's fast-paced and interconnected world, the need for mental health and emotional well-being has never been more pressing. By encouraging open, inclusive conversations and creating an integrated environment centered around lived experiences, we aim to break down barriers and cultivate a research culture that values creativity, empathy, and collaboration.

In line with the University's Sustainability Strategy, this project strongly aligns with UN SGD 3: Good Health and Wellbeing, through its focus on promoting mental health and wellbeing.

Okay, but is it for ME?

Hmm, but what's in it for ME?
