Many RCEN members work in research culture teams, including positions such as Heads of Research Culture, Research Culture Managers, and Research Culture Officers. However, the network seeks to include colleagues from diverse roles both within and beyond Higher Education Institutions, to represent a plurality of voices with a professional stake in changing UK research culture.

Sharing Best Practice: Share things that worked, specific project examples, and success/failure stories. Include small initiatives and explore more in-person opportunities, possibly regionally. Increase focus on the evaluation of research culture initiatives. Collate and share case studies, including examples of working across university functions such as HR.
Collaboration within the Network: Work on joint initiatives across institutions, as not all universities have dedicated posts or funding for research culture. Apply for funding together and map specialisms across the country. Include more academic voices.
Working with Partners: Increase dialogue with funders and engage with new government/influencers to expand the impact of research culture initiatives.
Upskilling: Build on the mentoring session with a more structured format, including areas to consider such as risk management and managing expectations.
