Registration Form for Away Day Event

FECARE Project Away Day – June 21st at the Scarman Building!

We are delighted to invite you to the FECARE Project Away Day, a supportive and enriching event designed specifically for female PGRs with parenting responsibilities. This event offers a space to connect, reflect, and recharge while balancing academic and parenting roles.

What to Expect:

🟣 Panel Discussion: Featuring keynote talks by Prof Louise Mullany (University of Nottingham, expert in sociolinguistics, professional communication, and gendered discourse) and Dr. Mollie Etheridge (University of Cambridge, specialising in feminist social theory and creative qualitative methods). They will share insights on women in academia, exploring both challenges and opportunities.
During this session, we are happy to provide a childcare service for those who wish to bring their children (ages 2–13), with limited spaces available.

🟣 Lunch Break: A relaxed lunch gathering where children are welcome to join.

🟣 Yoga Session: A child-friendly yoga session, allowing parents and children to unwind together.

🟣 Networking & Refreshments: A chance to connect over coffee, tea, and snacks in a welcoming environment.

As we aim to create an engaging and interactive atmosphere, the number of participants will also be limited. If you are interested in attending, we encourage you to sign up early to secure your spot.

We look forward to seeing you there!
