InfinityX Lab Booking

All Bookings for the Proteomics RTP are handled through the InfinityX lab booking software:

Logging in

Follow the prompts to log in with your normal University of Warwick Log in details.
Once logged in you will be redirected to your profile page or homepage within InfinityX.

Log in to InfinityX
On the left hand Column select 'Search Resources'
This page shows all the equipment available on the system. Using the tabs at the top you can either search for individual instruments (for example input: 'Proteomics'), or browse through the different facilities.
To request access to the facility/equipment. Use the button on the right hand side and fill out the form. This will then be sent to the admin team for the facility who will be in touch.

Approved Proteomics RTP users are allowed to book the facility for sample work-up (which is free-of-charge). Once samples are ready, facility staff will book the analysis time on the appropriate instrument (which is where charges occur!). Complete analyses will be billed at the end-of-month.
Once you have been registered as a User of the Proteomics RTP (as above), the following guide will take you through the process of booking the lab.......

Ensure that you have selected 'Proteomics RTP' from the drop-down menu of facilities from the Top Menu.
Open the Calendar (accessed from the Left-side menu) and you should see the facility instruments, including the 'Proteomics Lab'

Sample work-up will require use of the lab on two consecutive days; there are four concurrent slots available, so if you see a booking already in the calendar, you can still add your own booking (as long as there is availablity!).
Click on the start day to commence a booking. Please block book two full consecutive days - this ensures that you will be able to use the lab whenever you need it on these days as in the example below:

Important - the default session type is 'Lab Booking for Sample Workup' - please do not change this (as all other options incur charges).
Important pt2 - you cannot book to use the Proteomics less than 24 hours in advance!
When complete click Save. A calculated cost of £0.00 will be shown (if you see anything else click cancel and re-read the previous step!!!).

You then need to complete all of the mandatory fields of the sample submission form to complete your reservation request.
A member of facility staff will need to approve the reservation. DO NOT start using the lab unless the request has been approved - please reach out to Cleidi or Andrew about your booking.
