David Partridge spent the greater part of his childhood in England. He went to Canada where he studied at Toronto University from 1938-41 and then served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the war. On his return to the UK he won a British Council Scholarship and spent a year at the Slade, London. His nail 'configurations' date from 1958 and such works were commissioned for public buildings here and in Canada.He returned to Canada in 1974.
