Dye mimics the movement of pollution in water in the Thane catchment of Mumbai A dye trace in Mumbai - in the Thane catchment. The dye is non-toxic and mimics the movement of pollution in the water. This allows researchers to quantify how pollution moves in a system and identify both pollution sources but also hot spots for pollution accumulation.
