Yihua Huang, Faculty Advisor for Social Sciences was a featured speaker at the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) Digital Assessments Special Interest GroupLink opens in a new window event, Managing Digital Assessments: Administration and Implementation. Yihua co-delivered a presentation, sharing insights from the university's journey from paper-based to digital formats within a higher education language course.

Yihua explained "As part of the webinar, I co-delivered a presentation titled ‘Transitioning Language Exams to Online Delivery in Higher Education’.

We shared our experience of moving from paper-based to fully online language assessments, highlighting improved efficiency, accessibility, and student experience. Despite challenges like technical consistency, support and staff training, the outcomes were positive - reduced marking time and more flexible, inclusive assessments.
