Feedback Fruits Automated Feedback

The Automated Feedback activity is part of the Feedback Fruits system. It allows students to enter work that they plan to submit for assessment.

The AI will then create a report based on criteria set by the department to identify areas where the student could improve their writing skills. The report can focus on details such as paragraph and sentence length, use of active voice in writing and referencing.

The Feedback Fruits Automated Feedback activity is currently part of a Proof of Concept and may be subject to change.

This software allows students to submit formative work and receive feedback on grammar, academic writing and referencing without having to worry about being assessed.

On the following page you can either:

Choose from a list of institutionally approved templates (please note, your department will need to agree on a standard template for this to work
Copy an Automatic Feedback that you have created before
Design an Automatic Feedback from scratch

Step 5: Choose Template Step 6: Select options

Enter an activity name.

You will find default information entered into the "Instructions" section. You can alter this as you wish.

Choose a collaboration option (Individual or Group).

Confirm Submission parameters to decide how many submissions students can make. This can be used to require that student's submit a certain number of assignments or allow them to make up to a certain number of submissions.

Scheduling deadlines allows you to set a deadline for students to submit their files in order to get feedback.

File requirements determine what files students can submit.

Plagiarism Check uses Turnitin software to check the submission for plagiarism. Please note, this feature is currently inactive.

Guiding Students, allows you to add additional instructions for students (e.g. file types, recommended layout, etc.)
