Set up an assessment
Setting up an assessment in QMP
This page outlines the key stages of managing assessments, from creating and configuring them to publishing and organizing assessment outcomes. The process includes the following stages:
- Creating Assessment Folders: Create dedicated folders for your assessments and follow the proper naming conventions for easy identification and organization.
- Adding and Managing Questions: Add questions to your assessment either individually or by topic, and configure question blocks to suit your needs.
- Configuring Outcomes and Feedback: Set assessment outcomes such as Pass/Fail, and customize feedback messages based on participant scores or performance.
- Managing Assessment Settings: Adjust various settings, including time limits, question randomization, and branching to tailor assessments to your requirements.
- Deleting and Copying Assessments: Learn how to delete or copy assessment folders and their contents as needed.
- Publishing Assessments: Publish your assessments to an LMS or schedule them for participants after ensuring they are correctly translated and configured.
Each department has its own assessment folder. You will be granted full access to your department's folder and must create a subfolder for your module assessments. Please adhere to Warwick's naming convention and name your folder as follows: ModuleCode_YourName. For example: PX999_PeterPan. This naming convention helps to easily identify assessments later.
An assessment folder must exist before you can create an assessment. You can use your folder for multiple assessments related to the same module.
To create an assessment folder:
- Select the level in the assessment folder tree where you want to create the new folder.
- Click Folder, then select New.
- Enter a title for the new assessment folder and press Enter.
The new folder will appear one level below the selected location in the folder tree. You can view, add, and edit any assessments stored in the folder.
