Digital Learning Team

Meet the Digital Learning Team

The Digital Learning team comprises 4 functional areas - Educational Technology, Learning Design, Digital Learning Faculty Support, and the Management and Projects team - as well as cross-team working groups with a specific pedagogic focus and interest. We work alongside and consult with academics and departments to design courses and use multimedia and online learning tools to create educational experiences.

Please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your role in the Digital Learning team

My role in Digital Learning is to provide administrative support to the team by arranging meetings, managing enquiries, and assisting project teams. I coordinate our team newsletter, Digital Learning Digest, and help in other areas such as assigning support requests and scheduling lecture capture.

How did you come to work in DL? Have you always worked in this area?

I joined Warwick in 2017 from another university and moved into the Digital Learning team in August 2024. I have previously worked in roles in the Doctoral College and Awards and Ceremonies teams. I decided to apply for the role because the area of digital learning is rapidly growing and ever changing and so it was an opportunity to develop my own skills and knowledge too.

Which digital learning tools do you like to use?

I enjoy using Padlet as I think it’s intuitive to use with the drag and drop function. I find it a good tool for collaborating with other team members in real time. I like that digital learning creates opportunities for everyone to learn in ways that best suit their needs beyond traditional learning routes, making learning more flexible and inclusive. I find that very inspiring and exciting to be a part of.

What’s your favourite part of working in Digital Learning, or at Warwick?

I enjoy working at Warwick because there is always something happening, and I love the buzz of the campus when it's full of students and activities. I appreciate the flexibility working here gives me and that there are so many networking groups available to be involved in. I took part in Springboard, a development programme for women and really value having those kinds of opportunities to learn at work. Working in Digital Learning gives me a great position to keep up to date with the advancements in educational technology, plus I get to experience our team lunchtime tours of all the food that Warwick has to offer!
