About
Tim Leach is a novelist, specialising in historical fiction. His first novel, The Last King of Lydia, was published in 2013 and shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize that year. A sequel, The King and the Slave was published in 2014. He is a graduate of the Warwick Writing Programme, where he now teaches as an Assistant Professor.
Research Interests
The ancient and medieval world, unreliable source texts, intersection of myth and history, the tradition of storytelling, oral history.
Teaching and Supervision
I teach on Modes of Writing (EN124), Composition and Creative Writing (EN232), and Practice of Fiction (EN236). I have also taught on Fiction Workshop 2 (EN906), Writing Injustice (EN981), and supervise Personal Writing Projects and Long Projects.
