A
- Admin permissions
People with admin permissions can:
- view a page
- edit page content
- upload files
- copy, rename or delete a page
- edit page properties
- create a new page beneath the current page
- submit a form
- modify a form
- view and delete form submissions
- add or remove permissions
- Allow search engines
Deselecting this checkbox in page properties will hide the page from Warwick Search and public search engines like Google.
Note: If a page is hidden from search, this may also prevent pages and files below it being indexed.
For pages with restricted view permissions, Warwick Search shows results to University members that match their permissions. If you want a page to appear in public search engines, ensure it has View permissions for Any user, whether logged in or not.
- Atom
Atom is a web content feed format, similar to RSS. It can be used to automatically update visitors and other apps when a page has been updated.

- Child
A page or file immediately beneath the current page.
- Component
A building block of a page in the Components Editor, including layout blocks, images, buttons, etc.
- Contributor permissions
People with contributor permissions can:
- view a page
- edit page content
- upload files
- submit a form

People with edit permissions can:
- view a page
- edit page content

- copy, rename or delete a page

- Grandchild
A page two levels below the current page.
- Grandparent
The page two levels above the current page.

A page property used wherever SiteBuilder automatically generates a link to your page - most commonly in the local navigation bar or in a Contents list page.

- Page contact
The person or resource account who is listed in the page footer as a point of contact. By default, this is the person who created the page, but can be customised in the page properties by entering the name you want to display, followed by an email address in angle brackets - for example:
IDG Web Team <webteam@warwick.ac.uk>
- Page description
The information you enter in this page property is used to populate the page's
meta
tag. This may appear in search results.- Page heading
This page property appears at the top of the page content and acts like a headline to tell visitors what the page is about.
- Page keywords
Enter keywords in the page properties, separated by spaces. These are added to the page's
meta
tag, and are used by Warwick Search to index the page.- Page URL
In page properties, "URL" refers to the last part of the page's address. For example, for the SiteBuilder manual, the entry in the "URL" field is simply 'manual'.
- Parent
The page immediately above the current page or file.
- Path
The part of a SiteBuilder URL that follows

- RSS

S
This page property option is selected by default when creating a new page. Deselecting the checkbox will mean that the page is not displayed in your site's local navigation, but it does not prevent the page being accessed - you can still link to it, and anyone who enters the URL can reach it.
- Sibling
A page at the same level in the site structure as the current page.
T
This page property appears in the browser tab when someone visits your page, and can help users find their way back to it - for example, in their browser history, or if they have multiple open tabs.
