Edit a custom page template

To edit a custom page template, you must have admin or edit permissions on the site's home page.

  1. Browse to the site containing the custom template you want to edit.

  2. Go to Edit > More:

  3. On the Current site tab, select the template you want to edit under Site templates, then select the Edit button:

  4. The SiteBuilder banner changes to green, denoting the transition to the template editor:

  5. On the Template tab, you can:

    • Edit template properties: Change the template's Name and Description

    • Edit replaceable text

    • Copy template: Create a copy of the template on another site.

    • Purge template: Remove the custom template from your site.

  6. On the Current page tab, you can edit the template page's content and properties as you would with any other page.

  7. You can add, edit, or delete sub-pages via the template's Sub-pages tab.

  8. To include standard files on pages created from the template, use the Files tab.

  9. When you've finished editing your template, select Done.

Note: your template is not available for other people to use on your site until you make it visible in the template gallery.
