Elastomer technology

The Centre for Polymers and Composites (CPC) at Warwick Manufacturing Group develops and characterises elastomeric materials and components, offering formulation, processing, and performance evaluation to improve durability, flexibility, and sustainability in rubber-based applications such as seals, gaskets and tyres.

CPC capabilities include:

• Two-roll mill for rubber compounding
• Automated compression moulding
• Bale cutter
• Moving die rheometer (MDR)
• Dynamic rubber process analyser (RPA)
• Large amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS)
• Abrasion & hardness testing
