Field Asymmetric Ion Mobility Spectrometry
Overview:
Field Asymmetric Ion Mobility Spectrometry (FAIMS) provides sensitive and fast headspace analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from a variety of sample types.
The FAIMS unit has an ATLAS sample chamber capable of heating and agitating samples for analysis. Sample analysis can be completed in a matter of minutes from a wide range of sample types.
Features:
- Highly selective and sensitive sampling system
- Detection levels in low ppb range
- Fast analysis of samples (<5 minutes)
- Can detect a wide range of compounds including amines, ketones,
aldehydes, alkenes, alcohols, alkanes, aromatics and more.
Applications:
Analysis of clinical samples including urine and stool; Environmental samples
Warwick capability:
Gas Chromatography - Time-of-Flight - Mass Spectrometry (GC-TOF-MS)
