Careers advice & interview support

Job search advice (bookable)

20 minute bookable appointment for help with:

  • CV and application advice/feedback
  • LinkedIn profile reviews
  • Job search advice (including interview preparation)
  • Work experience search strategy

Drop-in sessions for job search advice:

  • Monday-Friday 9:30am-12pm (term time), Rootes Learning Grid.
  • Monday to Friday 12-2pm (term time) Learning Grid, University House
  • Easter vacation: Tuesday-Thursday 12-2pm, Learning Grid, University House

Careers guidance appointments (bookable)

30 minute appointment with a careers consultant for a more in depth discussion to help you with career planning and career choice. Appointments can also be used for interview preparation and support, appointments can take place over the telephone or by Skype (by arrangement).

Research students academic skills advice

Academic coaching (bookable)

40 minute appointment with the postgraduate academic coach on academic related issues eg academic writing (NOT proof-reading), personal development.

Open to Master's by Research, MPhil, PhD, EngD, EdD and Professional Doctorate.


Academic skills advice

1:1 Academic Skills Advice appointments (bookable)

Free 1:1 advice on academic skills with a Study Skills Adviser.

For help with general study skills e.g. exam revision, time management, presentation feedback, reading and note-making strategies.
