Warwick Skills Portfolio Award

The Warwick Skills Portfolio Award (WSPA) will help you to develop skills that are valued by employers and that will be useful for you more broadly, in your personal life and whilst studying here at Warwick.

The WSPA will give you the opportunity to:

  • Assess your strengths and development needs in different skill areas
  • Decide which skills you would most like to develop
  • Identify workshops to help you develop and improve those skills
  • Set yourself action points after each workshop
  • Put your action points into practice
  • Reflect on your learning and progress and think about how you can improve further
  • Learn how to talk confidently about the skills you have developed

On completion of the award you will gain a University of Warwick certificate to recognise your achievement.

How to achieve the award (academic year 2015-2016):

The award is achieved through attendance at workshops, followed up by producing structured, reflective online entries, involving action planning and reflection. You will also be allocated a personal coach who will comment on your entries and provide you with on-going support and feedback on your progress.
