Professor Sudhesh Kumar OBE

Prof Sudhesh Kumar is Vice President (Health) at University of Warwick. He is a clinical endocrinologist who has contributed much to the discipline over his career both as a clinician and as an academic. He has published over 240 papers and 6 books over his career. He joined Warwick Medical School as Professor of Medicine in 2003 and he was Dean of the Warwick Medical School from 2015 until August 2023. He is also President of AIRTO UK, the organisation that represents the research and technology organisations (RTOs) in the UK.

 

Besides his University role he was also a Non-Executive Director on the University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust Board and NHS Digital, where he was Vice Chair of the Board. He received the Coventry City Award of Merit in 2011 and was awarded an OBE for services to Medicine in 2019.
