NTD Modelling Consortium
The design team at Warwick Print recently worked with the NTD Modelling Consortium on their new brochure for defining their 2020 goals. The NTD Modelling Consortium is comprised of contributors from 13 different international institutions and uses mathematical modelling to research Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) – this invaluable research helps to provide robust forecasts in the fight to tackle life-threatening diseases in some of the poorest countries worldwide. The consortium is led by researchers from the University of Warwick's School of Life Sciences and the Warwick Mathematics Institute.
The design brief was to produce a brochure that stood out from the competition at an international symposium in Baltimore. To achieve this goal we worked with key stakeholders, this involved not only meeting with representatives of the Consortium here on campus but also Skype calls with other members all over the world.
We devised a concept that the contributors could work with in order to create infographics that detailed the insights that the NTD modelling had produced. This was all packaged in a custom-sized brochure featuring a clear varnish cover and fold-out on the back cover.
The result certainly delivered, as our colleagues from the NTD Modelling Consortium fed back that the brochure was very well received and drew positive comments on its professionalism from The Gates Foundation - the primary funders of the consortium. We look forward to an ongoing working relationship with the team.
