The Warwick Bursary - 2024 Entry

The Warwick Bursary

To be eligible for the main Warwick Bursary you must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Be a Warwick home student enrolled on your first, full-time undergraduate course which will start in October 2024.
  2. Have an annual household income, as assessed by Student Finance England of £35,000 or below.
  3. Be in receipt of a Tuition Fee Loan* and Maintenance Loan from Student Finance England.
  4. Been educated in a state school or college in England for your sixth-form education.
    • Alternatively, attended an Independent School in England for your sixth-form education but received either (i) a full fee-paying means-tested bursary or (ii) a partially means-tested bursary which is clearly indicative of an annual household income of £25,000 or below.

Medical students who meet all of the above eligibility criteria can receive the Warwick Bursary in their first year of study. However, this only applies to medical students who started their course in the academic year 2021-22 or later.

Students undertaking a study year abroad can still receive the Warwick Bursary providing they meet the eligibility criteria.

You will only be entitled to bursary payments for the time you are fully enrolled at the University. Therefore, you will not receive bursary payments while temporarily or permanently withdrawn.

The Additional Bursary

To be eligible for an Additional Bursary, students need to meet all of the main Warwick Bursary criteria and one or more of the Additional Bursary Criteria.

Medical students can only receive the Warwick Bursary and Additional Bursary in their first year of study only (this applies to students starting in the 2024-25 academic year) and only if they meet all of the above eligibility criteria.

Students undertaking a study year abroad can still receive the Additional Bursary providing they meet the eligibility criteria.

You will only be entitled to bursary payments for the time you are fully enrolled at the University. Therefore, you will not receive bursary payments while temporarily or permanently withdrawn.
