Dee Agyei
Welcome to my ePortfolio!
Profile
My name is Doreen but all my friends call me Dee. I'm a Doctoral Researcher at Warwick Business School (WBS) in the Strategy and International Business Group. I have an MSc in Strategy and Marketing from WBS, University of Warwick and a BA (Hons) in Management from the University of Nottingham.
Prior to starting my PhD I had the privilege of working as a research assistant on the WBS Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 submission, focusing on the development of the School's Impact Cases. In addition, before embarking on my Master's degree I was a management consultant specialising in strategic change initiatives and programme and multi-project management and worked with a diverse range of clients across the public and private sectors including FTSE 100 organisations.
I am interested in the process of change within and across organisations, how it translates across an organisation and its impacting effects. My Master's thesis examined the transforming role of social media on news journalism and the re-professionalization of the industry as a potential effect.
Research Interests
My PhD research is in the field of strategy and centres on organisational change and the concept of ambidexterity. It looks at how organisations can take apparently conflicting activities like innovation and efficiency, and achieve both simultaneously to become superior performers in their industry.
