My Profile

Research Interest

I am interested in designs and analysis of clinical trials.

Background

My first degree was in Statistics from the National University of Singapore (NUS). After a gap-year that lasted only 6 months I continued to pursue a Master degree in NUS. The title of the dissertation was "Exploration of Probes Selection Criteria of Oligonucleotide Array".

Shortly after, I worked as a Biostatistician in the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCC) for about 4 years. As a Biostatistician, I worked closely with clinicians in many investigator-initiated trials. Most of the trials are exploratory phase I and II. The experiences consequently have inculcated an interest in designs of clinical trials and here I am, pursuing a PhD in the "Design of a Series of Clinical Trials" funded by Roche Products Limited (UK).

I have recently (June 2011) started working as a Research Associate on a part-time basis in Warwick Clinical Trials Unit. I'll be working mainly on a project on low back pain.
