MChem (Hons.) - University of Warwick (2010-2014)
Biography
- I am currently a PhD student, supervised by Professor Peter Sadler (FRS) and Professor Martin Wills at the University of Warwick. My research involves the development of novel osmium organometallic complexes for use in both industrial and pharmaceutical research.
- My PhD project is jointly sponsored by Bruker Daltonics and the Warwick Collaborative Postgraduate Scholarship.
- I started at Warwick in 2010 as an undergraduate student, and completed my masters degree (MChem) in 2014. My final year project was supervised by Professor Sadler, which I really enjoyed, and was then fortunate enough to be offered a PhD under his and Professor Wills' supervision.
- I have been an associate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (AMRSC) since 2014.
Research Interests
- As a chemist, I have a keen interest in organometallic synthesis and homogeneous catalysis. I also enjoy the variety of analytical techniques, and I am currently in charge of our group's elemental analysis (ICP-MS and ICP-OES).
