My Teaching
Laboratory Demonstrating
I am currently responsible for two weekly independent experiments, which are a component of the formal inorganic laboratory training provided for undergraduate students. Undergraduates typically carry out experiments individually, as part of a small group of students working on the same task.
Outreach Teaching
The University of Warwick has formed close links with local schools and sixth form colleges, providing scientific events and activities for students to experience chemistry in a university laboratory. Working alongside Mr Nick Barker (University of Warwick, UK), school pupils are typically invited to attend a one-day event, where they have the opportunity to carry out a synthesis (of varying complexity to suit the level of the students) combined with the use of analytical equipment, under the guidance of experienced postgraduate researchers.
