Gary Kerridge
I am an ESRC funded PhD researcher based at Warwick Business School and working in collaboration with Alliance Boots
Profile
I graduated with a BA combined honours in social sciences (Psychology & Theology) from the University of Durham in 2010 before going on to work in the NHS as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist. Being more interested in the dynamics of the workplace than mental health, I was offered a scholarship to undertake an MSc in Social and Organizational Psychology at the University of Exeter. I worked alongside Alex Haslam & Manuela Barreto, key figures in organizational psychology, to undertake an experimental and correlational study of the importance of morality for leadership endorsement. On graduating I was delighted to be awarded the departmental prize and a commendation from the Dean of Faculty. Currently, I am working with Alliance Boots and WBS exploring social history, organizational identity and corporate social repsonsibility.
Prior to my studies, I have worked in various employment sectors including retail, hospitality, and healthcare. While at university, I continued to work voluntary and enjoyed being part of Durham Nightline and the University of Exeter Residence life team. Outside of my research I am interested in sustainable lifestyles, religion & philosophy and the creative arts.
