Nicole is a PhD candidate in the Politics and International Studies department at the University of Warwick. She holds a BA, BA Hons and MA in Politics and International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg) and an MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford.

Nicole's research interests lie at the intersection of global politics and development discourses and the choices made by local political elites, predominantly in Africa. Her research focuses primarily on Zimbabwe, Zambia and Uganda.
