Scott Dwyer

Welcome to my e-portfolio. I graduated with a 2:1 Biological Sciences BSc (Hons) from University of Brighton in August 2015, and was awarded the Alumni Prize for greatest contribution to the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (PABS). I went on to complete my MSc in Entomology at Harper Adams University after receiving a Royal Entomological Society scholarship and graduated with a Merit overall in September 2016.

My main interests lie within insect pathology, microbiology and biological control. Currently, as part of my PhD, I am investigating the biological control of the varroa mite, an ectoparasite of the European honey bee, Apis mellifera. My four year PhD is funded generously by the Elizabeth Creak Trust and the University of Warwick.

I am based at the Warwick Crop Centre on the Wellesbourne Campus of the University of Warwick. The group I'm a part of research a wide variety of topics relating entomopathogenic fungi and biological control, see here.
