Horizon Europe Seed Fund Workshop

Seed workshop participants

The Warwick Venice Centre hosted colleagues from around Europe for a two-day workshop to develop a collaborative funding proposal for submission to Horizon Europe
.

The workshop was organised by the University of Warwick, with a consortium led by the Dresden University of Technology (TUD). Participating organisations included NOVA University Lisbon, Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), community garden network association Gartenpolylog and research and innovation foundation and consultancy ICONS.

The original consortium team was brought together by a call for interest from partners working in urban green space research and practice, launched by TUD through the EUTOPIA network2. The Venice workshop provided an invaluable opportunity to work together to develop a shared theory of change and concept for the project, which we are excited to take forward to the next stages of development.

The workshop organiser, Dr. Carla Washbourne noted: "The Warwick Venice Centre is a beautiful and nurturing space to meet overlooking the famed Grand Canal. Many thanks to the Warwick Venice Centre for hosting, especially Chiara Farnea Croff, Venice Programme Coordinator. This workshop was enabled by the Warwick Horizon Europe Seed Fund 2025-26Link opens in a new window. Many thanks to Warwick Research & Impact Services for your support and in particular to the Seed Fund Call Manager, Lelia Buretia."
