Cut the Flow Block Prizes Suspended

For the past few years the University has run its own energy and water saving campaign and competition ‘Cut the Flow’ across residences on campus. The competition uses data from remote metering to calculate who has reduced the most amount of water and electricity per block per term. Unfortunately due to the pandemic we are aware that many residences have an unusual number of students occupying the halls and for fairness to all we have decided to suspend prizes to the blocks.

However, we do hope to bring you some individual opportunities to win competitions throughout the rest of the academic year so sign up to be a Green Champion or follow @warwickunisust to keep up to date with these.

It is essential to reduce our carbon emissions and for us all think about the amount of resources we use including our energy and water consumption. We will not achieve our carbon targets by 2030 unless all individuals contribute. We therefore ask that those in halls continue to follow the energy, water and waste reducing advice provided to them.
