Warwick Sustainability Summit Oct 2018
Thursday 18 October 2018 | Zeeman MS01 | 6:15-9:30pm (prompt 6:30 start)
Come and join us as we celebrate sustainability at the University. The Warwick Sustainability Summit brings together students and staff with a passion for environmental sustainability. Through this event we aim to encourage different groups to collaborate on projects outside their specific fields. It's a chance to learn more about how the University, and everyone associated with it, are working towards making our campus more sustainable.
There will be time after the presentations for open networking and to get to know others that are engaged in this area across the University. Pizza and refreshments will be provided after the talks. Please bring your own coffee mug/water bottle if you can.
We will be hearing from Joel Cardinal (Head of Energy and Sustainability at University of Warwick), Warwick Behaviour Insights Team, Climate Reality and Global Sustainable Development.
The Keynote Speaker will be Farooq Ullah. Farooq is Executive Director at CDR & Co-Founder/Steering Group Member of UKSSD. Farooq is an Associate with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and a former Specialist Advisor to the UK Parliament's Environmental Audit Committee. Farooq holds a BComm in Management Science from the University of Alberta (UoA) and an MSc in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics (LSE).
