Warwick Volunteers Executive Committee is the public face of Warwick Volunteers, and ensures that Warwick Volunteers is student-led. The Exec work closely with the staff team to design and promote the range of volunteering activities that are on offer.
The responsibilities of the Executive Committee fall into four key areas:
Promotion: Promoting and supporting Warwick Volunteers events throughout the year
Recruitment: Recruiting volunteers through awareness raising events and activities.
Representing, liaising & socialising: Liaising with volunteers and student leaders, representing their views and leading the social activities of Warwick Volunteers
Recognition and Celebration: Helping to gather evidence of the impact of volunteering and celebrate volunteer’s achievements.

Leads the exec team in developing plans, campaigns, and ideas.
Chairs Exec meetings, including setting agenda.
Reports on strategic priorities for Warwick Volunteers Steering Committee meetings. Attends the meetings.
Maintains a communication link with staff in the Warwick Volunteers office, provides regular updates on Exec plans and activities.
Represents volunteers at meetings and events, including presentations or speaking at events such as the annual summer Event.
Oversees the contribution of Exec to Welcome Week, and Warwick Volunteers events.

Is the Exec lead on Welcome Week and for general student recruitment into Warwick Volunteers
Plans and schedules the Warwick Volunteers Champion and Exec’s availability to support Warwick Volunteers events.
Manages communication between the Exec and staff team at Warwick Volunteers, e.g. circulating dates and notes from Exec meetings to the team meetings.
Works with Warwick Volunteers staff on the scheduling for the selection process for the new Exec in February.
Coordinates Exec’s handover documents and handover meetings.
Secretariat for the Exec, including notes from meetings, booking rooms and any other administration needed.

Provides peer-to-peer support for student leaders, maintaining an open channel for communications and a friendly approach.
Meets regularly with the Volunteer Development Officers to identify and develop resources for student leaders.
Encourages student leaders to find ways to share their experiences, stories and the benefits of their project, especially celebrating the achievement of their volunteers and the project’s impact on the local community.

Role:
Identifies opportunities to celebrate and share the achievements of Warwick Volunteers e.g. blogs, news and stories about volunteers or the impact of the project.
Creates and maintains relationships with student media and outreach officers for SU clubs and societies, to raise awareness of Warwick Volunteers.
Works closely with the WV team to update social media accounts
Organises the logistics of capturing new photos and video footage to be used for promotional purposes both internally and externally.
Makes sure all communications from the exec team are promoted to Warwick Volunteers Members.

Role:
Organises and comes up with ideas of a variety of social events throughout Term 1 and Term 2 and works with the Publicity Officer to promote to Warwick Volunteer Members.
Works with the staff team for planning and logistics of Key Warwick Volunteers events such as Volunteering Recruitment Events, Student Volunteering Week and the summer ‘Thank You’ event.
Provides plan to exec members and implements feedback given to Student Leader Support Officer.
Supports other roles within the exec team and looks for innovative ways for more volunteers to log volunteering hours.
Creates and maintains relationships with different departments, SU Clubs and Societies to encourage joint social activities.

Role:
The Postgraduate Officer works with the Communications Officer and other members of the Executive to undertake communications programmes that will encourage postgraduate students to register with Warwick Volunteers as a whole and specific volunteering projects.
Both attends and create events that will encourage participation by postgraduate students.
Undertakes research to determine the attitudes and relevance of the volunteering offer to postgraduate students across the various disciplines.
Champions projects being accessible to postgraduates and the creation of leadership opportunities that can be undertaken by postgraduate students.
Ensures that the postgraduate perspective is considered in all new developments and that projects are encouraged to consider activities outside the traditional undergraduate term dates.
Reaches out and connects with other elements of the University that seek to improve the experience of postgraduate students.
