Brunei Alumni Celebrate Warwick's 50th Anniversary

Graduates from the University of Warwick recently came together for dinner to celebrate the University’s 50th anniversary. The small gathering included alumni who graduated from the University between 2008 and 2014.

Senior Liaison Manager (Southeast Asia) from the International office commented:

"The event was a wonderful platform not only for batch-mates to catch up, but also for our alumni to expand their networks. I could see our alumni making new friends, and I really hope they'll be able to keep the momentum going! It was also touching to see how interested the older alumni were to hear about the latest developments on campus from the younger ones. I guess it goes to show that Warwick still has a special place in their hearts."

The alumni enjoyed a meal and a celebratory cake as they reminisced about their time at Warwick.

Warwick the Bear: A story of the University campus

'Warwick the Bear’ has been travelling around campus since the start of term; 'Warwick' has spent time with 4 different societies and has visited locations all around campus including the Arts Centre, Avon Drama Studio and Gibbett Hill.

In week 7 'Warwick' will be taking part in the 'Go Green Week Fashion Show' and in the final week of this term 'Warwick' will spend the week with RAG.

Where's Warwick is a student run project where each week a different sports club or society will have ‘Warwick the Bear’ and will choose a location on campus and take ‘Warwick’ to visit it. The society or sports club will then photograph ‘Warwick’ making sure that they don’t give away too many clues as to where the location is.

One World Week is now its 20th year!

One World Week is now its 20th year! As well as being the largest student-run festival, it is also arguably one of the most inclusive. Reflecting the diversity of cultures and opportunities on campus, it aims to give students the opportunity to showcase their efforts while encouraging them to reflect about issues that affect our One World.

One World Week is comprised of five elements (Days, Nights, Forums, Conferences and Sports). Over the course of six days, the campus will come alive through a series of debates and discussions, performances, sporting tournaments and events as well as cultural exhibitions and workshops. This year, there are new events such as Performance Day: Showbiz! as well as old favourites such as the World Party and Fashion Show. For more information, please visit www.oneworldweek.net.
