Winning for our members

With our support, one of our members has been successful in their flexible working request for compressed hours. This flexibility will support their work/life balance and wellbeing.

We were also made aware of the use of zero absence targets in some areas of the University (e.g. Estates and the Library), and have received a commitment from the University against this practice. We will be working with HR to review and improve sickness absence management processes at the University, based on the principles of fairness, inclusion, and compassion.
