Year 1
Autumn term:
- Research Methods - we will automatically allocate you to this so you do not need to apply
- Core module: 30 CATS - EN942 Fundamentals of World Literature - assessed by coursework
Spring term:
- 1 x 30 CAT module, assessed by coursework
Year 2 (You will apply for your 2025/26 modules in September 2025-Available modules are subject to change each Academic year)
Autumn term:
- 1 x 30 CAT module, assessed by coursework
Spring term:
- 1 x 30 CAT module, assessed by coursework
Spring/Summer terms:
- 60 CATS - 16,000 word dissertation – EN9C6 - we will automatically allocate you to this, so you do not need to apply

Can take one 30 CATS module from outside of the department, including the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL).
