22nd Annual Warwick English PG Symposium

This year's annual symposium will take place on Thursday 21 May 2026.

The English and Comparative Literary Studies (ECLS) Postgraduate Symposium is a fantastic opportunity for MA, MPhil, and PhD students in the English and Comparative Literary Studies department to gain conference experience in a friendly environment. Submissions from students at our partner institutions are also encouraged.

Call for Papers now open

We are currently accepting abstracts for the symposium. Papers should be 15 minutes in length. There is no set theme for the symposium. We welcome proposals on all periods and literary disciplines and submissions from students at our partner institutions are also encouraged.

To apply, send a 300-word abstract and a 150-word biographical note to engpgsym@warwick.ac.uk by Friday 2 March 2026.

Keynote from Dr Myka Tucker-Abramson

Speaking on her latest publication,Cartographies of Empire: The Road Novel and American Hegemony Post ’45(2025), Dr Myka Tucker-Abramson will be delivering a keynote at the symposium.
