Methods of Assessment for The Practice of Life Writing (EN258)

The first assessment will be an essay of 5,000 words discussing the set texts for Term 1. Essay titles will be given out towards the end of the autumn term. It may be possible to choose your own topic, but only in consultation with the tutor.

The second assessment will be a portfolio of 5,000 words, consisting of your own life writing. This may be memoir, biography, travel writing or any variant or combination of these, but you must discuss your plans with the tutor before you begin to write.
