Subject:Teaching terms 2 and 3
Dear all,
I’m writing to confirm that your teaching for the rest of term 2 will remain online. We understand this will come as a disappointment to those of you who are keen to return to campus. In remaining online, we’re following the University’s and Government’s advice, which states that departments should not ask students to return if their courses can be reasonably continued online.
We do hope that the gradually eased restrictions will allow us to see you on campus in term 3. We’re waiting for further guidance on this from the Government after which we’ll be in touch to confirm what form potential on-campus meetings might take. On-campus meetings will be optional for students; and staff that are classified as clinically extremely vulnerable will remain online in term 3.
Roxanne Douglas’ on-campus walks will return as soon as possible for students who wish to sign up. We’ll write to you about this in a separate email.
