Assessment

THIS MODULE IS 100% ASSESSED.

Methods of Assessment

Non-finalists:

TWO 3,000-word essays plus ONE unassessed presentation.

Presentation:

Presentations are meant to be informal and to offer a forum for you to introduce and analyze either a primary text or a critical reading for the week assigned. They are not meant to summarize the material, and, if there are multiple readings, you do not need to cover all the texts for the week you present. Additional reading beyond the required texts/criticism is not expected.

You are encouraged to develop 1-2 discussion questions to share with the group, either in advance, or during the seminar. Reading beyond the materials on the syllabus is not expected. You may use PowerPoint, if you wish. If you wish to prerecord your presentation because of internet connections or other issues, please consult your tutor.

Essays:

You will develop your own title, in consultation with your tutor. You are encouraged to attend office hours to discuss your topic and thesis statement or to contact me by email.
