Modal verbs are irregular

Modal verbs have to do be conjugated (for example: ich darf, du darfst, wir dürfen)

Modal verbs are the second idea of the clause or sentence (for example: Nächste Woche will ich Deutsch lernen.)

Modal verbs are mostly used with another verb, which is always in the infinitive form and at the end (or as near as possible to the end) of a clause or sentence. (for example: Heute Abend wollen wir Deutsch lernen.)
