Renaissance Centre PG Open day 2020
You are warmly invited to the Centre for the Study of the Renaissance's Virtual Open Day on Thursday 3rd December 2020, where we will be giving potential students the opportunity to sit and listen to a few short talks given by current students, followed by a Q&A with the Centre’s Director (Professor David Lines) and DGS (Dr Caroline Petit). The timeframe for this event is 15:30-16:30 (GMT).
Themes/titles of student talks will include 'Laughter and Violence in the Italian Renaissance' (Sophie Hartles), ‘Self-Presentation in Early Quattrocento Literature. The Case of Maffeo Vegio’ (Iván Parga Ornelas), 'Popular Festive Rituals in Space, Sound and Print in Sixteenth- and Early Seventeenth-Century Lyon and Bologna' (Eva van Kemenade) and 'When Elizabeth met Deborah: Elizabeth Analogies in early and mid-seventeenth-century England' (Aidan Norrie).
